Round 10

All the chisels I've dulled carving idols of stone
that have crumbled like sand 'neath the waves
I've recklessly built all my dreams in the sand,
just to watch them all wash away

Round 9

So, that last one was an odd one. The band is Lost and Found and the song was Prize. Lost and Found is a strange little band that consists of two guys who play what might be called metal music on acoustic guitar and an old 1980's keyboard. These guys are Lutherans and the group of us that grew up together back in high school were introduced to them by our Lutheran friend Olivia. Lost and Found did a nation wide tour on their bicycles once! Their songs are odd and at moments beautiful.

You can check them out at: http://www.speedwood.com/

Since last round was so out there I decided to try a random one again. Somebody out there should get this one with no help from Google.

"Put away your dinner and have a snack
Tie your little brother up in a sack now
We're moving to the country and we'll get there soon (she says)"

I think round 10 will be my final round.....at least for a while.

Round 8

Ok, so I'm going to just hit random on my iTunes and post a bit of the first song with lyrics that comes up. I'm doing it now:

"LIKE CLAY IN THE HANDS OF A POTTER.
I WILL OBEY THE COMMANDS OF THE FATHER.
I'LL BELIEVE IN THE LORD. HE IS MY REWARD.
CLAY IN THE HANDS OF THE POTTER."

Wow, there are only a few people in the world who could get this one. With that in mind, I'm going to open this one up to googling right from the beginning.

Currently Listening
Illinois

Round 7

I'm a little surprised that nobody knew the last one.  His name is Sufjan Stevens and the album is Come on, Feel the Illinoise and the song is John Wayne Gacy Jr. You should go get this album right now.  It's a little odd but it is so good.

Lets try another tough one.

"And although I know it's strictly taboo
When you arouse the need in me
My heart says "Yes, indeed" in me
'Proceed with what you're leadin' me to'"
